How to separate digital artwork for screen printing

Have you created some amazing artwork that you want to have professionally screen printed?

When you screen printer asks for artwork separations this is what they are looking for.

1. Each color of the artwork is printed with it’s own screen. For example: If you have 2 colors of ink you want on your shirt, you’ll have 2 screens, one for each color.
2. Make each color stand alone in a file as solid black. See demonstration graphic for example of separations.
3. The ink color will go through the screen in areas that are black to recreate the artwork on the shirt.
